How it works
The waiting room is your phone.
Most of an aesthetics visit is talking that could have happened already. Here it happens first, online and by phone, so the visit itself is the treatment. Here is the whole flow, including the parts the law decides.

Photos and intake, from your couch
Scan the QR code with your phone. The camera page frames your face, turns the flash on, and takes front, left and right photos automatically. Five minutes of questions follow: concerns, history, goals in your own words. Nothing about your skin is asked before you confirm you are in California, and each consent is its own screen, not a line in a TOS.

A call with a plan, not a pitch
Someone who has looked at your photos and your answers calls you at the time you chose. You hear at least two real options with the reasoning behind each, what each costs from the published list, and what results are realistic. No exam fee, no consult fee, no chair time spent being sold to.

The exam, folded into visit one
California requires a synchronous, in-person exam before any laser or RF device is used, once per patient per year. It is a real rule and a good one, so we do not pretend otherwise: Dr. Mueller examines your skin at the start of your first visit, confirms or amends the plan from the call, and then the plan happens.

Treated, the same day
Because the thinking happened before you arrived, the visit is treatment. Sessions are 30-minute blocks. Settings are recorded every time and titrated up as your skin proves what it tolerates. Series sessions after the first are treatment only.
The photos
Three angles, flash on.
Consistent, flash-lit photos beat clinic lighting for planning: they show texture, pores and pigment the way a treatment room's exam light will. The capture page does the framing and the flash for you; retake any angle until you are happy. Photos are of your skin, for humans planning your care. We never compute or store any face-geometry template.
Data and rules
The boring parts, out loud.
- Your photos stay on our systems
- Uploaded to this site, stored by the practice, viewed by staff through links that expire in minutes. No analytics scripts, no ad pixels, no third-party anything on any page that touches your skin.
- Three consents, each its own choice
- A photo notice before the camera opens. A telehealth consent before the call. A separate, optional, revocable authorization if you allow your de-identified photos to improve our methods. Decline the third and everything still works.
- A person calls you
- Software moves your photos; it does not judge them. No score, no grade, no algorithmic diagnosis. The plan options you hear were written by the people treating you, and the physician decides at the exam.
- Who holds the device
- Treatments are performed by Antoaneta Mueller, MD, FACOG or by a registered nurse operating under her written standardized procedures after her exam, which is exactly who California permits to fire a medical laser. Never an unlicensed "laser tech".
Prescriptions skip the drive entirely.
California allows prescribing by telehealth. Isotretinoin, tretinoin, Arazlo, Finacea and more: intake, video visit, pharmacy. The lasers wait for an exam; the prescriptions do not.
